Due to lack of pure devotion, Vedic scholars, abbots (mahantas), ascetics etc. will not be able to recognize Lord Sri Kalki in human form.   Sri Achutananda Das continues to write in the series… People who know the Vedas or the Ashtadasa Purana and consider themselves great Vedic scholars and have millions of followers, will not have the darshan of Lord Sri Kalki Rama due to lack of devotion. The devotees of all four ages are the same as the Yati (sages) of the Satya Yuga, the Kapi (monkey) of the Treta Yuga, the Gopa-Gopis and Yadus of the Dwapara Yuga (who were companions of Lord Sri Krishna) and the devotees of the present Kali Yuga. In society, great ascetic sages with millions of followers will not attain God because of the vices of pride and arrogance. But only those whose hearts are pure, whose devotion is pure, who are devoid of ego and who have no hypocrisy will become devotees of the Lord. Only they will attain the Supreme Soul.
