10 Avatars of Lord Vishnu-
Ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu are mentioned in our texts. Four of them happened in Satyuga, three in Treta Yuga, one in Dwapara Yuga, one in Kali Yuga, and one at the end of Kali Yuga. These ten incarnations are as follows –
(1) MATSYA AVATAR:-
The first incarnation of Lord Vishnu was in the form of Matsya in Satya Yuga. Lord Vishnu had incarnated in half fish and half-human form. Lord Vishnu in the Matsya avatar saved the first person, Vaivasvata Manu, the seven sages at the time of the Holocaust. All appeared in Matsya form to restore Vedic texts.
He took his boat in the form of a fish with every species of plants and animals to the New World. Matsya is depicted as a giant fish, or anthropomorphically with a half-human torso attached to the back half of a fish.
(2) KURMA AVATAR:-
Kurma (Kurma) was the second incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of a tortoise. When the Devas and the Asuras (demons) were churning the ocean of milk to obtain Amrita (the nectar of immortality). The gods and demons cooperated in the churning. The Mandara mountain they were using as a churning churn. When he started drowning, then Lord Vishnu took the form of a Giant Tortoise. This Tortoise became the base of the Mandarachal Mountain.
(3) VARAH AVATAR:-
He was the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of Varaha. When an asura named Hiranyaksha was a devotee of Brahmadev. He got a boon and after getting those powers he became very powerful. He started torturing people and harassing the gods on earth and finally the demon Hiranyaksha stole the earth and hid it in the primordial waters.
So Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of Varaha to save him. Lord Vishnu in the form of Varaha killed the demon and pulled the earth out of the sea and lifted it in his teeth and restored Bhudevi (earth) to her place in the Universe.
(4) NARSINGHDEV AVATAR:-
Lord Narasimha was the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of half-man and half-lion. The demon (demon) Hiranyakashipu had a powerful boon from Lord Brahma. He was not allowed to be killed by man or animal, whether by day or night, on earth or sky, in the house or outside, living or non-living weapons.
In such a situation, Lord Vishnu took the form of Narasimha to kill the demon with his own hands and save the devotee Prahlad. In which half the body is of a human and half is of a lion (animal). Then Lord Narasimha brought Hiranyakashyap to the Gate of his Palace and put him on his thigh and tore his liver with the sharp nails of his Claws.
He did this work at twilight when there was neither day nor night. In this way, the boon of Brahma Ji also remained and Hiranyakashipu was also killed.
(5) VAMAN AVATAR:-
Vamana was the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu as a dwarf. This is the first incarnation to appear as a human carrying a wooden umbrella. King Bali defeated Indra in the battle. Devraj Indra was the son of sage Kashyapa and mother Aditi and at the request of Mother Aditi from Prabhuji Vishnu, who had become homeless, to save Indra and his kingdom, Prabhuji incarnated as Vamana avatar. Liya, also known as Trivikram. Because he is the one who has conquered the 3 worlds
Lord Vishnu incarnated as Vamana avatar to restore Indra’s authority over heaven. Vamana Bhagwan went to King Bali to donate three steps of land and King Bali agreed to donate it against the wishes of his guru Shukracharya. Vamana then revealed his true identity and expanded to vast proportions to move on in the three worlds.
Vamana Bhagwan stepped from Earth to Heaven with the first step and with the second step stepped from earth into the Patal Lok. King Mahabali became unable to fulfill his promise. Because in two steps all his earth was gone, then he extended his head for the third step. Lord Vamana then put his foot down and granted immortality to the king for his humility and made him the king of Hades. All the vanity and vanity of Bali disappeared and Vishnu was realized as the supreme power.
(6) PARSURAM AVATAR:-
Parashurama was the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Parashurama was the son of Jamadagni and Renuka. He attained a divine Farsa after the penance of Lord Shiva.
King Kartavirya Arjuna visited the hermitage of his father Jamadagni Rishi with his army. Jamadagni Rishi was able to welcome everyone with the help of his divine cow Kamadhenu. The king demanded a cow, but Jamadagni refused. The enraged king took it by force and destroyed the ashram. In anger, Parashurama killed the king with Farsa in his Palace and single-handedly destroyed the king’s Army.
To take revenge, the sons of Kartavirya killed Jamadagni. Parashurama resolved to kill every Kshatriya on earth twenty-one times, and filled five lakes with their blood.
At last, his grandfather, Rishi Richik appeared before him and stopped him. Parashuram ji is chiranjeevi i.e. immortal. And he is still doing penance on the Mahendra Giri mountain. Lord Parashuram ji is the guru of Bhishma, Drona, Rukmi and Karna from the Mahabharata. It is said that they will remain till the end of Kali Yuga. Prabhu will teach Kalki the same weapons and at the same time, Lord will also provide Secret Weapons to Kalki. Which has been kept in a very secret place since Dwapar Yuga.
(7) RAM AVATAR:-
Rama was the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Ram is the most popular incarnation of Hindus in Hinduism and he is considered to be an ideal heroic person, hence Goswami Tulsidas ji has described him as Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram. His story “Ramayana” is one of the most widely read texts in Hinduism.
Whenever Dharma decreases and Adharma increases, Lord Vishnu comes to this earth to defeat the wicked and protect his devotees. Lord Rama had incarnated in Tretayuga to protect his devotees and sages from the wicked.
Lord Rama lived in exile from his kingdom along with his brother Lakshmana for 14 years. In this sequence, he killed many demons.
Meanwhile, Mother Sita is abducted by the demon king Ravana. At the same time, the devotee Hanuman Ji meets Lord Rama. Lord Rama establishes religion by defeating Ravana, the king of Lanka, with the help of an army of brave monkeys. Bhagwannai Rama was the embodiment of morality as well as truth, the ideal son, ideal husband, ideal brother, and an ideal king. Rama avatar was a symbol of victory of authority over evil.
(8) BALARAMA AVATAR:-
Balarama was the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the Sri Vaishnava lists. Balarama is also known as Baladev, Balabhadra, and Halyudh. He was the elder brother of Lord Krishna and is generally considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is considered the Sankarsana form of Vishnu and the eighth incarnation. It is noteworthy that here Lord Krishna is described as Mahavishnu.
(9) BUDDH AVATAR:-
Buddha Avatar is the 9th incarnation of Shri Hari. This incarnation of Vishnu came 2600 years ago in Kali Yuga. The aim of that incarnation was to bring the world on the path of dharma in a peaceful manner and tried to convince the people that it is not right to sacrifice any animal for penance and it is also wrong to kill the food of animals.
Prabhuji preached non-violence, dharma, truth, love, and mercy and made the basis of religion and way of life. Like a normal human, discovered the causes of suffering in the life of man. Recognized it as the Four Noble Truths and paved the way for its elimination.
(10) KALKI AVATAR:-
He is the tenth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. At the end of Kali Yuga, at the time of the change of ages, Kalkiram will incarnate in 64 Kalas and will fight the unrighteous and destroy the wicked people who walk on the path of Adharma.
Prabhuji will establish Dharma by controlling Pancha Bhoot for Khand Pralay and will do everything secretly in the form of immaculate incarnation and will establish peace and dharma for 1009 years in the whole world by giving happiness and joy to his devotees in the eternal age.
According to the Bhavishya Malika Shastra of Orissa, Lord Kalki has also incarnated. Lord Kalki took birth in the house of Vishnuyash Brahmin at a place called Sambhut Sambhal located in the Biraja region of Orissa. They are yet to come before all the people, which will probably happen by 2024.
Lord Kalki will end all the evils prevailing in society and will usher in a new era. Tomorrow that era will not be of factory or scientific glare, but of spiritual upliftment. But the world population will be less than a quarter. After the end of all four Yugas, the Satyuga begins again.
